Here are a few tracks that i have been listening too at the moment:
1) Cloud Control are a band that I discovered by looking through the record label website that Superfood recently signed to: Infectious Music. Great sound to them and one for any indie kid out there

2) The new wave in all female bands has generated a number of good bands such as Haim and Deep Valley, and the run continuous with Bleached. Simple riffs with a touch of Blondie sounding vocals

3) Drenge are a band I have wanted to talk about for a while and I am finally going to see them for the first time in the next week when they tour with peace, which should be a great gig. The duo from Dearbyshire have got a punchy rhythm too them that makes them stand out.

Sounds that mirror
Beginning to rack up a number of gigs in and around Glasgow , Harry and the Hendersons are really on to something here. The band from Rutherglen have a sound that has a clear influence from other acts, but none from Glasgow and what I have heard so far is great. Currently recording their E.P, the band have harmonious sounds that mirror the likes of Arcade Fire and Fleet Foxes. Their music is subtle, yet still powerful and I for one cant wait to here more from this band.
Their track: New York's Lost Island of Lepers has great potential, and if the band keep churning out songs like this, then I think the future will be pretty exciting for this band. They seem to combine the brass, the strings and the piano in an effortless fashion that stands out but at the same time is laid back and relaxing.
